Meraki Shared Mobility Project - 99P Labs & CCAD

Meraki Shared Mobility Project
99P Labs & CCAD
99P Labs, backed by Honda and The Ohio State University, approached Columbus College of Art & Design with a specific challenge: to reimagine a shared mobility vehicle that fits the needs of three key customers: millennials, older adults, and rideshare service providers.

As part of the branding and presentation team, we established the brand for the vehicle prototype and developed a marketing campaign during the final semester of the project. Meraki, a Greek word used to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love, was the name selected to capture the prototype’s essence. We applied this visual brand language to every aspect of the final project.
Inspired by tech showcases like the Consumer Electronics Show, we created an immersive experience to unveil Meraki. On May 14, 2021, guests from 99P Labs, Honda R&D Americas LLC, SHARE Mobility, and The Ohio State University were welcomed to CCAD to see the culmination of the project.

The presentation featured a welcome and viewing of the first documentary video, key research findings, a demo of the ride-hailing app from both the rider and attendant viewpoints, a walkthrough of the full-scale vehicle, and an immersive VR experience that allowed guests to change different features of the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
